This page explains what Glided Getaways collects when you visit, how affiliate links work on this site, and how to reach us about any of it. Last updated October 2026.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, we may earn a small commission. It never changes the price you pay.
Affiliate links never decide what goes on a list. Every destination, hotel and tour on this site is chosen because it fits the guide, and a place that pays nothing sits beside one that does. Where a post contains affiliate links, it says so at the top.
Glided Getaways takes part in the Viator and GetYourGuide partner programmes (tours and experiences) and in Stay22, a service that turns our accommodation links into affiliate links to booking platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia and Hotels.com. We may also join other travel programmes and Amazon Associates in future; if we do, this page will say so. Affiliate links on this site are marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute and every guide that contains them carries a notice at the top.
Stay22 and affiliate tracking. When you click an accommodation link, Stay22 and the booking platform set cookies on their own domains so the booking can be attributed to this site. Those cookies are controlled by Stay22 and the platform under their own privacy policies (stay22.com/privacy), not by us, and we never see your name, payment details or booking information.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which guides people read and where readers come from. It records pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device type and how you reached the site. It does not tell us who you are. Google's own privacy policy covers how that data is handled: policies.google.com/privacy.
Blogger. This site runs on Google's Blogger platform, which sets technical cookies needed for the site to work and may collect standard server logs.
Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply.
Newsletter. If you sign up for the planning checklists, we store your email address with our email provider so we can send them to you. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Pinterest. This site is claimed on Pinterest, which lets Pinterest attribute pins of our images to us. The Pinterest "save" button on article images loads a script from Pinterest when you hover over an image.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from Google (Blogger and Analytics) and, when present, from the affiliate platforms linked above, so they can credit a booking to this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK or another place with data-protection law, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to us through the contact page and we will answer within 30 days. For Google Analytics you can also opt out directly with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
About the information on this site
Dates, prices and opening hours come from official sources (tourism boards, park services, the venues themselves) and are correct at the time of writing. They change. Always confirm with the venue before you book or travel. We are not responsible for changes made after publication or for the content of external websites we link to.
